Our first ever Wine Tasting honours Women Winemakers

This Wednesday we invite you to join us as we celebrate Women Winemakers. It seemed a fitting way to launch our programme of Wine Tastings. Not only because it’s Women's History Month, but also because the director and host of our events is our Head of Wine, Sarah Helliwell.

Sarah shines a light on women in wine by doing an amazing job at Stony Street House and beyond, but she is also passionate about shining a light on others. Hence the decision to centre this first ever tasting at Stony Street House around six Women Winemakers.

As you learn about their journeys in wine you will get to taste the delicious wines they make. Each winery is either world-renowned or an unsung gem. To add a bit of excitement and surprise to proceedings, the list of wineries will be revealed on the day. But don’t worry, each wine will be available by the glass for the rest of March in case you can't make the event tomorrow.

This first ever Wine Tasting will be a casual learning and tasting experience with Sarah introducing the wines and taking you through the flavour profiles and tasting notes.

If you would like to attend, please reserve your space by buying a ticket from the link here. Tickets are an introductory rate of £16pp.

Spaces are limited so make sure you book as soon as possible. We do hope you can join us!

Also, keep your eyes peeled for our programme of events which we will publish soon.

But in general, we will be doing Wine Tastings on the first Tuesday of the month starting April and also Food and Wine Evenings on the third Wednesday of the month starting in March. Exciting eating & drinking times ahead!

Also keep a look out for our interview with Sarah coming soon.
